SWF has developed in our health care pilot in Jinja an ongoing sustainable relationship with AOET/Action for Empowerment to provide quality, affordable health care and health education. Currently, we are raising funds to continue this meaningful effort for the women we serve and their children. With healthcare access within their reach, productivity will be on the rise, incomes will increase, and young girls will gain the opportunity to focus on their education and personal growth.
Many of our moms cannot yet afford to pay school fees for their children, as they first need to put food on the table and clothes on their backs. We began this endowment for these moms so that their children can begin learning while they start building their businesses. This fund will cover a child's first two years of education. During the child's third year, the mom will begin to contribute and eventually pay for their children's continuous education.
